  • What is the secret with your Avocados?
    The Avocados we sell are of the Hass variety and grown in Michoacán. We often get asked what makes our Avocados the best and it's consistency, HANDS DOWN! They're always beautiful, flavorful, and creamy when you cut into them (if bought from the market/picked out for that day) - we guarantee they'll be perfect! Here are some fun facts about Avocados from Michoacán: The state of Michoacán accounts for over 92% of Mexico's Avocado production and has over 30,000 groves of Hass Avocados. Nurtured by the Mexican sun and rain, the trees bloom 365 days a year, and avocados can be harvested every month of the year, depending on the elevation of the orchard.
  • Are you Certified Organic?
    No. A lot of food production in Mexico is qualified to be Certified Organic but it is not. Why? It is very expensive to obtain and maintain. There are many Food Producers in Mexico who do not using prohibited substances (most synthetic fertilizers and pesticides) for three years prior to harvest, or do not using genetically modified organisms (GMOs). We also do not use unnecessary dyes and additives. We would rather show people our farming practices, talk to them extensively about what we do and how we do it. Quesos Azael specializes in offering high-quality and unique artisanal cheeses made from raw, organic, and grass-fed milk. We prioritize animal welfare, sustainable practices, and taste. Our meats and cheeses are aged to perfection to enhance their flavors and health benefits.We believe in nurturing our community of natural food lovers who value the art and science of traditional Mexican farming and want to support sustainable agriculture and local businesses.
  • How are your Animals raised?
    We get asked daily about how the Quesos Artesanales Azael animals are cared for. Three words: Natural, natural, and natural! We have an ethical farming and ranching philosophy with a driving mantra of - As natural as possible. We are proud that the products we sell to you are the same ones we serve at our table! As clean as it gets! Azael's livestock is raised with care and provided free-range to graze. We do not use pesticides and our feed is natural. We know what we're feeding our livestock because we make it!! We know that living a healthy & happy life starts with the food(s) we put into our body. Our customers are conscientious, health-conscious, and looking to buy straight from the food producer. We're always happy to answer questions, or show videos, should you want to know more!
  • Do you add any sweetners to your Jerky?
    We do not add sweeteners to SubGrub Original and Original Spicy Jerky. Some of our the ingredients in these varieties contain a small amount of sugar, such as soy sauce. It is marginal, with the amount that we use in these recipes. Some of our customers follow a ketogenic meal plans and adding those two varieties of SubGrub Jerky to their diet has not waivered their cycles of ketosis.   • What cut of Beef do you use?
    Our Jerky is made from one of the best cut of lean beef known as Pulpa Negra. Known as Top Round in Canada and the United States. First we trim the fat, hand-cut it into strips and marinate it slowly. Next we season the beef with Brownie’s ‘Secret Spice Blend’. Finally, we wait for all those scrumptious flavors to come together in perfect timing in the dehydrator.
